In a letter to Betty from Ron Fox who found the website.

Ma'am:
I am the one who called the other day after reading your husbands writing.
I was raised believing that a pre-tribulation rapture would rescue me from
the world at the last minute.  But after 9/11, I decided to read the bible
for myself and discovered I had been lied to.  If anything the bible only
confirms that the responsibility of the church is to lead as many to Christ
in those last days as possible.  The end comes when the number of believers
is complete...........no sooner.  I asked a friend about how the anti-Christ
could wage war against the saints if we had already been raptured out of
this world.  He said it was the new Christians who accepted Christ after the
rapture, but wait...............If a man is without God then he is blind to
the truth and it takes someone who has sight to lead him to the truth.  How
could a person read the bible and determine to accept Christ when the
influence of the church is removed from the world?  Didn't Jesus command
that our mission is to spread the gospel and lead others to him?  The bible
says a great deception will come upon the people so they believe the lie, if
this is true then how could they, under their own wisdom, break free of the
deception?  Simply they can't.

Let's address the churches.  Notice that the church of Philadelphia is a
great church, who fears and reveres God.  They are a praying church who
gives God credit for everything and they are blessed because of it.  Notice
that Revelations says they will be kept out of the time of trouble.  Also
notice their reward, they are made pillars in the temple of God.  In other
words, this church comes to an end before the tribulation begins and they
become permanent fixtures in Gods temple in heaven.  How does a church come
to an end?   The people must sleep.
Now look at the church of Laodicea.  They are detested and our God wants to
spew them out of his mouth.  Notice that there is no mention of them also
being kept from the time of trouble.  The Bible suggests this church is as
bad as it gets, they love the world and God, they serve two masters which is
impossible.  So wouldn't it make sense that the reward for this church is
miniscule?  But the Bible says "21:To him who overcomes, I will give the
right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my
Father on his throne."  WAIT A MINUTE......the worst church actually gets to
sit on Jesus' throne with him???!!!!  HOW CAN THIS BE?  Because Jesus says
that they must overcome just as he did.  Jesus was brutally crucified before
overcoming sin and death.
I believe we are witnessing the coming of the end of the church of
Philadelphia as most of the great believers are passing away.  My
grandfather, who loved God as no other, passed away last year, your husband
passed away two years ago, you may also before the hour comes as may I.
The people who turned to God in prayer and then listened for the answer are
leaving us.

An angel said to John "11:Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about
many peoples, nations, languages and kings."   It starts over again.  He
starts at the beginning again in chapter 11 with the two witnesses.  The
beginning of the tribulation.  What is the job of these witnesses???   They
are spreading the word of God to the world because the rapture has never
occurred.  They are witnesses sent by God but they are also Christians.
The three angels in chapter 14 give us a timeline  first the end is upon us
and a warning to worship God.  Secondly the existing structure is destroyed
called Babylon and finally this ushers in the great evil and the antichrist
empire.  Notice the third angel also warns not to worship the antichrist or
you will face the wrath of God.  In other words, stay faithful to God and he
will provide for you, turn from him and punishment is coming and the
punishment sounds an awful lot like Hell.  And finally the angel says that
blessed are the people who die in the lord from now on.  Blessed because
they will be given the right to share the throne of Jesus.

Oh what terrifying times lie ahead of us but we can walk through the valley
of the shadow of death and fear no evil for our redeemer is looking down
upon us from heaven and is prepared to carry us through.

The Thorn in the Flesh  by S. Lynn McBride

While attending Taylor University, I took a class on the Pauline epistles. The professor, Dr. E. Herbert Nygren, earned his Ph.D. on the apostle Paul. He was a very knowledgeable man on Paul’s writings.
While talking about 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 in class one day, Dr. Nygren spoke about Paul’s thorn in the flesh. He said all the experts disagree about what it was. He said that no one could ever know what it was! As I sat there in class, I had faith come up from within me and asked God to reveal to me what Paul’s thorn in the flesh really was. This was back in the late 1960's. In the 90's, God revealed to me what it was. I had never heard of this idea or read about it in any source. This idea came to me from the Holy Spirit.
Now some people can disagree with my idea. I don’t care if I am right or wrong. The answer that I got was for me but I feel lead to share it with others at this time. God had me check out the Old Testament meaning of the word thorn! Many times the Old Testament used thorn to refer to people. By God using the Bible to give me the answer, I felt His answer was better than anything I had ever heard on the subject!
Paul was an expert on the Old Testament and knew what it said. I feel he used thorn as a symbol out of the Old Testament. When I substitute people as the meaning into the New Testament passage, it fits for me. The question is do you think it does. Also, is there any other source that gives this same idea - that Paul used the Old Testament as the source for the meaning of thorn? If you know of another source please share it with me. I love to hear from people and hear what they think the Bible also says!

Numbers 33:55 (NIV) But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

Joshua 23:13 (NIV) then you may be sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the LORD your God has given you.

Judges 2:3 (NIV) Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out before you; they will be thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.

2 Samuel 23:6 (NIV) But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns, which are not gathered with the hand.

Isaiah 10:5 (NIV) Woe to the Assyrian...
Isaiah 10:17 (NIV) The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers.

(Amplified Bible) And the light of Israel shall be for a fire and His Holy One for a flame, and it will burn and devour (the Assyrian's) thorns and briers in one day;

Isaiah 27:4 (NIV) I am not angry. If only there were briers and thorns confronting me! I would march against them in battle; I would set them all on fire.

Ezekiel 28:24 (NIV) No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.
