Wake up. Hit the alarm. Electronic, battery, or key wind. How do I wish to be awakened? DVD, CD, Cassette, or radio. Or chirp, whistle, clang, ding, or buzz. Color? Black, blue, green yellow, white, gray, silver, or gold? How ‘bout novelty? Race car, football, Sleeping Beauty, or Star Trek Enterprise.

Brush my teeth. Soft, medium, or hard bristles. How about variegated length bristles in multicolor? Smooth plastic handle, or rubber grip, straight, or curved? Pink, blue, red, orange, black, yellow, sparkly, or clear. Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, or Cinderella.

Shower. Or tub. Bar soap or liquid soap. Deodorant soap so I don’t smell, or maybe I want to smell like a rose, melon, ocean breeze, or a baby. Sensitive, dry, medium, or oily skin. Shampoo for dry, oily, dandruff, or bleached hair. Chamomile, rosemary, peach, apple, or non-scented.

What to wear? Slacks, skirt, dress, jumper, shorts? Solid black, royal blue, periwinkle, fuchsia, print? Blouse, sweater, jacket, T-shirt? Uh oh. Sock has a hole. Throw it away. Shoes. Flat, low heel, medium heel, high heel, boots, or sneakers? Suit coat, sport jacket, plush, wool, down filled or synthetic winter coat?

Make the bed. 180, 200, 220, 240, or 260 thread count. Egyptian cotton or poly cotton blend. Satin, flannel, or cotton knit? Plaid, check, stripe, or geometric pattern. Flowers, oceans, fish, boats, cars, ballerinas, or Mickey Mouse. Duvet, comforter, chenille, or traditional bedspread.

Eat breakfast. Eggs, fruit, cheese, steak, ham, bacon, cereal, sweet roll, donuts? Peanut butter toast. Hazel nut coffee, almond coffee, decaf or regular. Mint, green, or orange, or plain old tea. Cream? Milk? Sugar, raw, powdered, or granulated.

Get in the car. Or station wagon, van, mini-van, truck, SUV, jeep, or motorcycle. American made, or European. Japanese? Insured, of course.

Go to work. Good lighting, heated or air-conditioned. Music of my choice, or piped in. Silence if I want. Chair or cushioned rubber mat to stand on. Computer doesn’t work? Call somebody. If I work outside, hat, gloves, coat, special work shoes, and sun blocker so I don’t get burned. Bug spray so I don’t get bit. Inspector comes around to make sure my environment is safe.

Lunch. Bag, cafeteria, take-out, fast food, or restaurant. How about a cappuccino?

Back to work. Nobody’s allowed to violate my rights. No one can hit me. Grievance committee to settle disputes.

Go home. Stop at the library. Any book, on any subject. Maps and newspapers. Magazines. Cassette tapes, videos. Internet, and research desk to help me. Comfy place to sit, or nice table and chairs to work at. All free.

Stop at the grocery. Pick up pork chops, chicken, veal, lamb, beef, turkey, or liver. Inspected so I know it’s safe. Veggies? Canned, frozen, fresh, pre-cut, or pre-washed. What to drink? Soda, low-fat milk, 2% milk, whole milk, acidolophis in it, or non-milk milk. Juice canned or bottled, room temperature, or cold. Desert. Cookies, bite size, or big with filling, or fancy picture drawn by hand in icing. Chocolate cake mix, or how about ready made pie? Pumpkin, of course.

Eat dinner. Wash the dishes by hand or in the dishwasher. In the dishwasher, use powder, crystals, liquid or cake soap. Don’t forget the rinse agent. By hand? Use antibacterial, or treated for dry hands. Lemon, peach, or summer breeze scent.

Do a load of wash. In the washer, gentle cycle, perma-press, or heavy soiled cycle. In the dryer, (gas or electric) fluff, low, medium, or high heat. On a timer or auto-dry? Static cling? Liquid for the washer or little sheets for the dryer.

Watch TV, video, or DVD in the living room, kitchen, or bedroom. Listen to music on my computer. Correspond with people all over the world instantly via telephone or internet. Don’t even worry about spelling. Spell checker takes care of that. Search the net for what kind of flower grows in dappled shade, or full sun. Find out what the weather will be tomorrow.

Read my Bible. KJV, Amplified, NASB, or NIV? Maybe I’ll just read my parallel Bible so the bases are covered. Say my prayers and go to bed.
